Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It means the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. But preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker this new, that range is not narrow.
What You Trade On
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from the same login. Many pick one platform. Having both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That will make the platform set when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package holds up. Few brokers in this bracket offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
This is the detail you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If that makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.
